This is just plain nuts!
It’s an advert but an excellent video to explain why Google Docs (and any collaborative word processing web site) is so useful.
While pondering over a new blog idea and idly reading stories about Facebook I noticed this piece from The Telegraph. Nothing really original, the usual Facebook and social networks are massive etc until I came accross this paragraph:
Facebook is already available for some US mobile phone users and UK operators are understood to be negotiating hard with the site to allow them to enter into a partnership, which would allow people to “update their status” as they walk down the street.
Really? I’ve been doing that for the past few months! For anyone with a decent data tariff all you do is go to m.facebook.com via your mobile phone browser and log in as usual. You can then post Facebook status updates where ever you are, pick up your messages, check out the latest posts on your wall and reply. It’s great!
For a few hours earlier today Facebook was offline for ‘upgrades’. You can read more here as well as their rather odd statement which said it wasn’t a security breach but kinda was…

Anyway, I did wonder how the 31 million users across the world reacted to Facebook not being accessible?
I sent joke texts to a couple of friends claiming blind panic. Well, ok only half joking, it was a funny couple of hours; it just goes to show you only realise how central something is to your online life when it’s taken from you…
Yeah I’m bored again, so after much mucking about decided to change the theme. I reckon it’s changes have gone from monthly to weekly at this point…!
