Back in Blighty; been away for two lovely weeks in Barbados. I’ve got a slight tan (I take an age to brown up), a load of rum, 540 photographs to upload and a longing to return as soon as my leave resets next April and my bank balance can tolerate the expenditure!

My friend and colleague Samantha has a new blog and you can read it here. She’s one of the most thoughtful and observant people I know (no shock given she’s works in the devils trade of journalism but we wont hold that against her) and I’m sure it’ll make for some interesting reading.

Over worked, but ready to escape!

Work is pretty fucking evil right now; four events to organise, a ton of pressure and a nice piece of research dropped in my ever busy lap to boot. Great fun…

The silver lining of course is only another day in the office before I’m off; away to the Caribbean and not having to think about politics, answer phone calls or liaise with anyone for three weeks!
